Full Job Description
As one of our Vehicle Mechanics, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our JP Rentals Division. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in top working condition for our customers. Your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be crucial in delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibility area's include:
> General Repairs and maintenance for a wide range of vehicles across different makes and models.
> Routine vehicle servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
> Diagnostics to identify and troubleshoot faults in engine management systems, electrical systems, braking systems, etc.
> Preparing Vehicles for MOT to meet the required standards for MOT testing, including repairs and replacements to pass inspections.
> Tyre Fitting, balance tyres, conduct wheel alignments, and inspect tyre condition to ensure safety and performance.
> Work closely with other team members to maintain smooth daily operations in a busy environment.
Are You the Right Person for This Role?
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience
> Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent qualification).
> Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, ideally with multi-fleet vehicles.
> Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
> Attention to detail: High standards in both the quality of work and safety, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
> Effective communication skills: The ability to explain technical issues in simple terms to non-technical team members or customers.
> Experience working to deadlines and achieving set goals.
> A positive and proactive approach to your work, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership over your tasks.
> Team Player: While you'll often work independently, you must also be able to collaborate effectively within a team.
