JOB TITLE: VIP Sales Lead                          

REPORTING LINE: Head of Corporate         

DEPARTMENT: Commercial, Hospitality 

LOCATIONS: Ibrox Stadium

CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent

 

THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for a VIP Sales Lead at Rangers Football Club. In this role you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sale of match-by-match hospitality seats and Rangers premium hospitality experiences to corporate clients. 

 

A self-motivated sales professional with a focus on both maintaining existing relationships and bringing in new VIP Client business, you will play a key role in maximising sales opportunities at Ibrox Stadium via hospitality and enhancing the overall guest experience within our key hospitality locations on a match day.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for match-by-match hospitality seats and Rangers VIP hospitality experiences.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate sector, including local businesses, sponsors, and organisations, to expand the club's VIP client base.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients, sponsors, and stakeholders to encourage repeat business and secure long-term partnerships.

 

Match-by-Match Hospitality Sales:

  • Promote and sell match-by-match hospitality seats and premium packages for home games, including matchday dining, VIP upgrades, and exclusive experiences.
  • Collaborate with the hospitality team to develop compelling sales pitches, marketing materials, and promotional offers tailored to corporate clients' needs and preferences.
  • Conduct targeted outreach campaigns, cold calls, and networking events to generate leads and close sales for matchday hospitality.

 

Rangers VIP Hospitality Experiences Sales:

  • Market and sell Rangers VIP hospitality experiences, including Dine with a Legend, Golf VIP Events, meet-and-greet opportunities, and exclusive events, to corporate clients seeking unique entertainment options.
  • Customise hospitality packages and experiences to meet the specific requirements and budgets of corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences.

 

New Business Development:

  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to bring in new business, including cross-selling and upselling additional hospitality services, sponsorship opportunities, and corporate partnerships.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote Rangers’ hospitality offerings, build brand awareness, and establish connections within the business community.

 

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, and stakeholders, serving as the main point of contact for inquiries, requests, and feedback.
  • Provide personalised service and support to clients throughout the sales process, from initial contact and contract negotiation to post-event follow-up and relationship management.

 

THE CANDIDATE

The candidate attributes include:

  • Proven experience in corporate sales, hospitality sales, or business development, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and overcome objections.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building long-lasting relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality management, or related field (desirable).
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and sales analytics tools.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as required.
