Full Job Description

We are looking for a temporary visiting specialist of Music to build on the enthusiasm for music we have within our school. We would also consider a teacher who has a particular interest and experience with music. This is needed for a full day on a Thursday.Job Details To teach a designated subject (Music/Physical Education/Art or Modern Languages) in line with Curriculum for Excellence.

  • Teach assigned classes in line with Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Prepare lessons and courses.
  • Undertake development of the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and reporting on the work of pupils.
  • Contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
  • Consult with and assist colleagues on subject specific education issues.
  • Participate in the organisation of the school to contribute to the school development.
  • Plan and school policies as considered appropriate by the Head Teacher.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils and to safeguard their health and safety.
  • Advise and guide pupils on issues related to their education.
  • Work co-operatively as part of a team.
