The opportunity has arisen within West Lothian Council, Housing, Customer & Building Services for a dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic Void Management Officer to join our team to deliver a high-quality service in respect of the void/letting function. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team following recent organisational changes.

The Voids Management Officer will ensure our voids process is undertaken efficiently through good coordination of the void re-let standard of properties and arranging accompanied viewings and arranging prospective sign up agreements of new tenants.

The successful candidate will need

  • Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4 or equivalent, or recent relevant experience of working in a housing management setting
  • A working knowledge of Housing legislation, practice and key issues in Scottish Housing with experience of working in a public sector, or related role, dealing with the public and delivering a customer focused service is essential
  • Awareness of the Technical Guidance for Social Landlords regarding Scottish Housing Quality Standards (SHQS)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Current driving licence
