Full Job Description

You will be motivated and enthusiastic to carry out cleaning duties within Thornton Gardens short breaks service to provide a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment for the residents. You will undertake:

  • Cleaning of all areas within the care home using approved cleaning materials and agents where appropriate
  • Damp wipe and dust using approved cleaning agents and empty bins
  • Use of necessary powered equipment for example vacuum cleaner, steam cleaner, floor buffer
  • Ensure equipment, materials and cleaning agents are clean and stored safely after use
  • Comply with COSHH regulations
  • Stock checking and ordering of cleaning materials and PPE
  • Take reasonable care for own health & safety in line with Health & Safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Support the service by reporting any maintenance issues
  • Laundering & ironing of clothing and soft furnishing
  • To undertake training appropriate to the role
  • You will work 33.25 hours per week. This post is temporary until March 2025 due to service requirement. If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
