Job Advert

Thornton Gardens is a 6 bedded short breaks service supporting adults from ages 18 and above with a diagnosed learning disability. Our service is part of the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership where we work closely with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team. Thornton Gardens is a well-established short breaks service with a highly experienced, motivated, and passionate team of staff. We endeavour to work together to ensure we provide a warm and welcoming environment focused on person-centred care for all who use the service to allow their carers to have a well-deserved break from their caring roles, alongside a supportive place of work for our colleagues.

We are located in the Bonnybridge area just a short walk from the local bus stop and a 10 min walk to Bonnybridge toll.

Within our service, there are multiple learning opportunities for staff. We place importance on training, development, and opportunities to progress within a supportive environment.

As a Domestic you will be motivated and enthusiastic in providing a clean and safe environment to a high standard for all guest, visitors, and staff. We expect our domestic staff to maintain the home in line with National Infection and Protection Manual guidelines. Previous experience in a domestic role is desirable but is not essential. You should have a positive attitude, be passionate, organised, and flexible. A willingness to learn is also critical. You will work alongside an established staff team, including other domestics and will be supported in the role by your colleagues. As you will be working within the care home, you will also be required to always treat others with dignity and respect.

You will work 33.25 hours per week which will include weekends on a shift rota basis.

If you feel you have the relevant skills, knowledge and attributes for this post and would like to work within our service where you could make a difference to someone’s life and lead a fulfilling career then please apply now.

This post is temporary until July 2025 due to service requirement.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
