Full Job Description
Murray Recruitment have an opportunity for a diligent and organised Warehouse Operative to support their warehouse operations in Glasgow.
Working for our client a leading provider of industrial systems this position is crucial to ensuring that the engineering and service teams are well-equipped and can access the necessary parts and equipment for efficient installations and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking: Select and prepare parts accurately for sales, installation, and service jobs based on specific order requirements.
Returns Processing: Handle returned items from completed jobs, ensuring all inventory is accounted for and restocked accordingly.
Goods Receiving and Loading: Inspect and receive incoming goods, maintaining quality standards, and using a forklift (up to 3 tonnes) to unload and transport goods when needed. Training can be provided if forklift certification is required.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock records, regularly conduct inventory checks, and report discrepancies.
Warehouse Upkeep: Ensure the warehouse is clean, organised, and safe, with items properly stored and labelled.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, including fellow warehouse staff, management, and Directors, to maintain smooth operations.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, especially when handling materials and operating the forklift.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification (counterbalance up to 3 tonnes preferred).
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management software (training provided).
Offering
- Salary £23 - £26k per annum
- Hours Monday to Thursday – 08.00 -16.30, Friday – 08.00 -15.45
- Competitive salary.
- 20 days paid holiday per year plus 8 Statutory days and additional holidays provided during the days between Christmas and New Year
