Full Job Description

The Waste Operative operates as part of the Waste Operations Team (team of 8) and is responsible for all waste and residue related operational processing activities required to operate the NESS facility in a safe, efficient and compliant manner.

  • Multi-skilled approach to the operation of mobile plant and cranes as required to support the waste and residue operations

  • Monitoring and management of personal safety measures

  • All activities concerning waste delivery and residue removal are well coordinated with appropriate controls and clarity of roles and responsibilities between the parties is established and maintained throughout the activities

  • Identify operational improvement opportunities

  • Ensure that any work carried out within the facility is executed in compliance with Indaver's Integrated Safe System of Work

  • Ensure customer focus

  • Participate in training on operational changes flowing from the project and ensure that new and/or improved methods of operation are consistently applied

    Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience

  • Machinery operations licenses will be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided

  • Knowledge and experience of working with large mobile plant and equipment

  • Must be computer literate and operated systems in the work place previously

  • Experience in and around an environment where frequent heavy vehicle movements are common place

  • Dealing with customers in the execution of the service and/or resolving problems when they occur

  • Must be reliable, trustworthy and a team player

  • Must be eligible to work in the UK as no sponsorship will be offered for this position
