The role – Whisky Blender

This is a unique opportunity in which you will have a challenging, engaging and innovative role assisting and supporting the Master Blender across distilling, maturation and blending operations to ensure the high standards, consistency and quality of the Loch Lomond Group whisky portfolio.

You will have a highly varied role, your duties and responsibilities including;

  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of samples, and management of sample room activities to comply with HMRC guidelines
  • Support in sensory assessment activities to ensure product quality meets the company’s high standards
  • Liaise with vatting, warehousing and spirit supply teams to ensure sampling and vatting activities are carried out efficiently to meet bottling and bulk customer demands
  • Manage sampling and re-casking activities and the selection of wood to support the single cask programme
  • Responsible for new requests for bulk liquid and development of speciality liquid, and support of third party bottling as required.
  • Following extensive learning and understanding of the different liquids and processes, contribute to new blends and products in an entrepreneurial fashion

In addition to being afforded a rarely available unique opportunity with an outstanding employer  whom are committed to affording opportunities for personal growth and development, you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package.
