We have a shared ambition for inclusive growth and prosperity for all, where North Lanarkshire is the place to Live, Learn, Work, Invest and Visit.  This includes taking forward our ambitious new 5-year Programme of Work for the Council to 2028.

People Resources is a strategic corporate service which plays a key role in both supporting the delivery of the Council’s ambition and providing the full range of HR support to our services and our circa 15,000 employees every day.  The service has around 200 full and part time professional staff who operate within 7 key centres of expertise, including Business Partnership; Employment and Policy; Occupational Safety & Wellbeing; Equalities; Brighter Futures; Talent & Leadership Development and our Employee Service Centre which includes payroll, workforce resourcing, HR transformation & engagement and workforce system analytics teams.

The Workforce Systems and Analytics Manager will play a critical role as a member of the Employee Service Centre Management Team in leading the workforce systems and analytical team.

The role will be responsible for delivering a responsive customer service to our employees and managers whilst maximising the use of self-serve HR technology through i-Trent; the full development of our newly launched My NL portal (Service Now) system and other associated HR process and systems improvements in line with the council’s Digital North Lanarkshire ambitions.

We are looking for a dynamic, confident, and highly motivated individual who has substantial experience in supporting large scale workforce systems, system development initiatives and ideally has experience of iTrent. You should be qualified to HND/SVQ4/degree level or equivalent in a relevant IT or HR discipline. You should also have strong analytical skills, an ability to present information/data in a concise and user-friendly way and understand how to prioritise your own and your team’s workload to meet deliverables.

This role will be based in our corporate office in Motherwell but will operate under our hybrid model of office and home-based working with an expectation to travel to council facilities and partner sites across North Lanarkshire.
