Full Job Description

Connect Appointments is recruiting an individual to become a Yard Coordinator with our Musselburgh based client.

What's on offer?

  • A working week of Monday to Friday
  • Shifts are generally 7am to 4:30pm
  • Pay from 13 per hour - paid weekly
  • With a rise expected in April and/or after probationary period

Working as a Yard Coordinator, your duties will include:

  • Check vehicle loads to make sure they're not contaminated and record what you find
  • Guide drivers to the right areas and keep an eye on vehicle movements
  • Complete and check paperwork and reports
  • Keep the site safe by making sure PPE is worn and hazards are cleared
  • Talk to site management about any problems or issues
  • Follow site rules and instructions from management
  • Keep the site tidy by cleaning up spills and storing materials properly
  • Complete any required training (like traffic control and using the radio) and help with other tasks when needed

To be successful in this Yard Coordinator role, you will have the following skills, traits and experience:

  • Good understanding of health and safety rules and safe working practices
  • Experience in a similar job, working independently in busy environments
  • Comfortable using tablets and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Able to meet deadlines and work on schedule
  • Vehicle banksman qualification - a plus but not required

Please Note: Due to the location of the client's site, you will need access to a vehicle to reach it.
