Full Job Description
As our Rooms Division Manager, you will be responsible for supporting team members to ensure our guests are provided with memorable stay experience that is personalised to their needs, throughout their stay at the hotel by ensuring that the team is responding efficiently to their inquiries and advising them of the amenities and benefits offered by the hotel. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for engaging with the team to ensure wellbeing and satisfaction and will be an integral part assisting the Front of House management team to drive and deliver positive results. Here's a glimpse into what your day may entail:
- Ensuring delivery of the highest standards while providing complete guest and team member satisfaction.
- Supervision and guidance of all Rooms Heads of Departments in the management of their departments. You will be responsible for Front Office, Concierge, Nights, Housekeeping and Reservations and focus on ensuring all service standards are followed.
- The Rooms Division Manager will have the ability to motivate and delegate effectively.
- You will need to possess excellent organisation and time management skills with an eye for detail and the ability to use own initiative.
- Communication skills with the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with key management positions in the business and to create a rapport with guests.
- Drive results for Tripadvisor and our internal survey system STAY for the hotel.
- Prepare annual budgets and administer in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Lead and support all areas in the achievement of their financial and operational targets.
- Control all purchases for the department, consistently aware of quality and cost.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the goals and targets therein, with a general focus will be on Gross Operating Profit for the overall hotel.
- Oversee room group business, reviewing and ensuring details of group resumes are met.
- Oversee the selection, training and development of all team members to ensure timely recruitment and career growth.
You will be a confident communicator and excellent grooming standards with the ability to lead and develop your team and influence across all areas of the business. - You will have a hands-on approach and take a proactive role with departmental managers in order to identify and support needs at all levels.
- You will be an inspirational leader, who is passionate in delivering extraordinary guest experiences and who takes pride in sharing success with your team.
- A strong knowledge of a luxury hotel standards with evidence of successful implementation of high-level service and product standards.
- Good commercial awareness and business acumen.

- Ability to work under pressure.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
