Full Job Description

SSEN Transmission has an opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to play a key role in the management and development of project information and business documentation across a wide range of projects.

Successful applicants will be responsible for providing input into the development of the information requirements documentation as well as validating information processes and administration of the projects assigned to them.

You will

- Coordinate and configure the SSEN Transmission Common Data Environment (CDE) and Autodesk Construction Cloud to ensure this fits the needs of the project and delivery teams.

- Assist in the preparation of the information requirements documentation in line with the BS EN ISO 19650 series and the UK BIM Framework.

- Support in the upskilling of both internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure full understanding of the systems and processes, and compliance with the prescribed workflows.

- Act as the main point of contact on assigned projects for all BIM related tasks and coordinate the sharing of commercially sensitive or confidential model information.

- Verify and validate that model information and asset data is accurate and complete. Also, liaise with internal teams including Project Information Officers and BIM Managers on all related issues and tasks to ensure consistency of approach on all projects.

Excellent administration and organisational skills; with experience in collaboration software, specifically Autodesk Construction Cloud. Knowledge of authoring information in AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D would be advantageous.

- Project delivery experience is beneficial. You will need as a minimum to have demonstrable experience and skills to coordinate multiple tasks, manage meeting schedules and produce succinct and clear reports.

- Proven ability to provide technical support to project teams, and identification of business/project and technical improvements.

- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and UK BIM Framework guidance and industry standard best practices and processes for information management.

- You will have an approachable, and professional manner, working well with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the best outcome, and aspire to be the best in class with your attitude and commitment in all that you do.

SSE has a bold ambition - to be a leading energy company in a net zero world. We're transforming the grid to provide greener electricity for millions of people and investing over £20 billion in homegrown energy, with £20 billion more in the pipeline.

SSEN Transmission own and operate the electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland. We transport energy from where it is generated to where it is needed, ensuring a safe and reliable electricity supply for the communities we serve. But that's not all - we're upgrading the grid to deliver cleaner, homegrown energy for the future and building a network for net zero to create secure power for generations to come.

Enjoy discounts on private healthcare and gym memberships. Wellbeing benefits like a free online GP and 24/7 counselling service. Interest-free loans on tech and transport season tickets, or a new bike with our Cycle to Work scheme. As well as generous family entitlements such as maternity and adoption pay, and paternity leave.
