Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of an established Accountancy Practice based in Dundee for a permanent Payroll Assistant to join their small and busy team. This role offers a 35-hour week working in the office in Dundee with parking, 34 days annual leave and a highly competitive salary package.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working as part of a small and busy team. You will complete an end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients over multiple pay frequencies, including weekly/fortnightly/four weekly and monthly. You will process statutory payments including SMP/SSP/SPP etc, process manual payroll calculations and apply knowledge of pension schemes. You will liaise with internal & external stakeholders at all levels answering any queries and keep up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Payroll Assistant within an Accountancy Practice or Bureau. You will be able to demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of current payroll legislation. You will have strong IT skills, ideally within Sage payroll however this is not essential as full training will be given. You will be a strong team player who can work accurately to strict deadlines.
