Full Job Description
Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Book Keeper based in Glasgow.
Working within the finance team your role will be to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities;
- Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
- Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor debtor/creditor balances.
- Prepare payroll data and manage pension contributions.
- Generate financial reports and assist with budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns; assist with year-end accounts.
- Support administrative tasks and maintain data confidentiality.
Experience;
- Proven bookkeeping experience, experience using Business Central (Dynamics accounts software) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of VAT and tax compliance.
- Experience in working with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; strong communication skills.
- Communicates effectively at all levels.
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent; industry experience is a bonus.
- Enjoys working as part of team.
Offering;
- Salary DOE.
- Hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch)
- 20 days holiday plus 9 statutory days.
