Full Job Description
P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a rapidly expanding Accountancy Firm based in Renfrewshire, to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis. My client is flexible on the working hours to suit the candidate’s requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy practice environment.
The main duties:
- Preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders
- Preparing CT and self-assessment tax returns
- Preparing VAT returns
- Dealing with all client queries and developing strong relationships
- Contacting HMRC to resolve issues
- Carrying out other general accounting functions as required
The main requirements:
- Accountancy Practice experience is preferred
- Strong bookkeeping experience
- QuickBooks experience would be preferred
- Highly proficient IT skills, including Excel
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
