Full Job Description
iMultiply is working in partnership with a growing Accountancy Practice to recruit the position of Business Advisory Manager.
The Role
In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their unique business challenges, provide tailored accounting and advisory services, and help them seize opportunities so they can focus on what matters most. This is a diverse and dynamic role—we’re looking for someone who can leverage their skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver insightful advice and identify opportunities for additional services across our wider group. As a client-facing role, this position is ideal for an enthusiastic team player with a strong background in working with owner-managed businesses. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers, ensuring they receive proactive, value-driven support. If you’re passionate about providing tailored solutions, love working directly with clients, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Duties
· Ensure that all client deadlines and expectations are met, working closely with the wider engagement team to provide top-tier service
· You’ll take ownership of client relationships, building trust and strengthening connections with both clients and their broader professional networks. Working alongside client advisors, you’ll identify opportunities to offer additional support, ensuring clients always receive the best possible service.
· You’ll be responsible for delivering all aspects of client work, particularly in accounting support, while keeping everything on track and within budget. You’ll also play a hands-on role in finalising accounts, tackling complex accounting tasks, producing in-depth reports, and responding to client queries in a timely and professional manner
· You’ll lead specialist advisory and project work, offering tailored advice that truly meets each client’s unique needs. Staying up to date with the latest industry developments, you’ll proactively research new legislation, spot opportunities for clients, and provide informed guidance. When needed, you’ll collaborate with external advisors—such as lawyers and bankers—to deliver well-rounded advice
· You’ll help develop the skills of the team, sharing your expertise and ensuring work is delegated effectively to foster growth. You’ll also play a key role in the management team, contributing to daily operations, hitting financial targets, and supporting leadership in shaping the department’s strategic direction.
The Person
· A qualified professional (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent) with experience in a similar role.
· A strong background in managing a client portfolio, with a focus on building lasting relationships and delivering excellent client service.
· A team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with both clients and internal stakeholders.
· A growth mindset and a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
· A solid working knowledge of client accounting systems, particularly Xero.
· Experience supervising and mentoring staff, helping to develop and support the team.
· A track record in technical compliance and advisory work, ensuring clients receive accurate and insightful guidance.
· Confidence in leveraging technology and cloud accounting software to implement client-focused solutions.
On Offer
The role of Business Advisory Manager can be fulfilled on a part-time or full-time basis. Hybrid working is on offer and the business offices are based in the city centre, situated within close proximity to public transport links.
If you like the look of this vacancy and think you could perform the role, but, you don't think you meet all the requirements, please DO APPLY for this opportunity. Data shows that certain groups, mainly women and people from BIPOC communities, are less likely to apply for jobs where they don't meet 100% of role. iMultiply would encourage you to apply for roles where there is room for development and growth.
iMultiply is committed to diversity and will promote diversity for all employees, workers and applicants. iMultiply will treat everyone equally and will not discriminate on the grounds of an individual's protected characteristic.
