Mac Recruit Group are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract (with a potential to go permanent) for our fantastic client based in Rutherglen. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation in a fast-paced industry.
The Role The Senior Finance Manager will take the lead in managing all aspects of the finance function, including financial planning, reporting, and group consolidation. This role is integral to the organisation, ensuring accuracy in processes and identifying opportunities for improvement. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leaders, contributing financial expertise to strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and development for a team of finance professionals, encouraging growth and performance excellence.
- Produce and oversee group financial reports and monthly accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Analyse performance data to provide clear insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Prepare financial updates for presentation to the board, offering concise and impactful insights.
- Manage working capital and ensure robust cash flow forecasting to support ongoing operations.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact during the financial audit process, liaising effectively with external auditors.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full professional accounting qualification
- Expertise in group financial consolidation and preparation of management accounts.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams within a finance function.
- Thorough understanding of all aspects of transactional finance operations.
- Background in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
