The role

We're currently looking for a senior accountant with experience in the areas detailed below to join our team based in Glasgow. You should be a qualified senior accountant with good business experience, ideally working in a global business, and have a thorough understanding of SAGE.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will provide key oversight to Accounting Operations and will involve liaising with a number of key stakeholders located across the globe.

Key responsibilities:

Key focus on driving process improvements across the team and divisions
Set up accounting reporting for all entities within the current finance system (SAGE)
Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and accounting standards across each entity
Analyse P&L and balance sheet accounts
Preparation of statutory financial statements for various global legal entities
Resolve technical accounting queries
Produce financial performance reports
Ensure corporate tax returns are completed on time and advise on tax strategies
Work on ad-hoc initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across all entities
Create routine management reports, incorporating variance analysis, to monitor budget performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction

Based in Glasgow. Hybrid working possible. Part time or full time considered. Salary negotiable.
