Full Job Description
Anderson Knight are delighted to once be partnering with one of our valued clients to assist in recruiting for a Finance Manager within one of their group companies, based in Coatbridge.
Our client is respected across the UK and operates within a highly regulated and buoyant market. The Finance Manager will play a key role, working closely with Director level helping effectively drive the business through a period of signification change and growth.
The key duties and responsibilities will include:
· Take ownership of preparing monthly management accounts to support strategic business decisions.
· Assist with the preparation and ongoing updates of financial forecasts, highlighting key trends and variances.
· Maintain full responsibility for the balance sheet up to the trial balance stage.
· Provide reliable support to the management team by maintaining sufficient knowledge to act in the Finance Director’s absence.
· Support and mentor the accounting team, including conducting quarterly performance reviews and providing necessary training.
· Manage the preparation of site payroll submissions and sales advisor commission statements for review and submission to Head Office.
· Oversee sales and purchase ledger operations, ensuring timely escalation of any issues to senior management.
· Lead weekly debt review meetings with senior management and departmental heads.
· Coordinate the preparation of year-end and audit documentation, acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
· Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review by the Finance Director.
· Ensure end-to-end responsibility for the monthly management accounts process.
· Lead monthly financial review meetings with the on-site Management Team.
· Address and resolve departmental financial issues promptly, escalating to the Finance Director when necessary.
The main candidate will be a qualified financial professional who can demonstrate proven experience working to strict regulations and deadlines. You will be experienced working across business units, providing detailed financial data to drive strategic, solution based decision making.
