Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be supporting our client, based in Perth, in the search for a Finance Manager to join their local finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will lead a team of 5, across Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll. You will play a key role in the delivery of monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting and VAT submissions, whilst supporting ongoing business initiatives and finance projects.

This hands-on role is suited to a pro-active individual who is confident managing people and comfortable delivering high quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis
• Weekly cashflow management and treasury management
• Manage VAT returns
• Lead on balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee daily accounting operations across payroll, purchase ledge and income processing
• Support the Head of Finance with ongoing projects and process improvements
• Supporting year-end audit preparation
• Mentor and develop a team of staff

The Candidate

You may be Qualified, Part-Qualified or Qualified by experience and will have strong experience preparing management accounts. You will have experience in a supervisory or team management roles, managing priorities and achieving reporting deadlines. Experience using Sage 50/Payroll software would be advantageous as would an understanding of AP/payroll processes. You will be a confident team leader with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

There is opportunity to develop within this role, taking on more responsibilities around budgeting, forecasting and projects. This role would suit someone who embraces learning and is adaptable.
