Accounts Manager
Are you ready to lead with impact and drive meaningful change within a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice?
We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounts department. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in both client service and team leadership within a respected and ambitious firm.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the workflow of the accounts department to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Overseeing internal accounting processes and collaborating with the Practice Manager on operational efficiency.
- Reviewing departmental output for quality and accuracy while ensuring feedback and development of team members.
- Monitoring team performance against targets, providing coaching, and conducting appraisals.
- Building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, and supporting onboarding and business development.
- Leading recruitment, training, and ongoing development initiatives for your department.
What You'll Bring
- A recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CTA).
- Proven experience managing an accounts function within a professional services environment.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and review skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and client service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you’ll be working closely with clients, directors, and junior team members alike.
