As a casual stockkeeper at Muiravonside Country Park you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Newparks Farm, including animal husbandry, health and safety, and supervising farm volunteers/work placements. People engagement is an important part of this role, which involves engaging with visitors on a daily basis, sharing information about the farm and country park, and leading guided farm tours.
Experience of animal care is essential for this role, along with a positive attitude and friendly demeanour, a strong understanding of health and safety, and a willingness to work alone on your own initiative, including working outdoors in all weathers.
This is a casual contract and hours will vary, including both weekdays and weekends, as required. Working hours will generally fall within 8am - 4pm.
If you are a successful candidate, you will be required to carry out a Disclosure Scotland check.
