Full Job Description

Job Description

We’d like to welcome you to the unique setting of Scotland's largest and most vibrant city.  Glasgow is one of the most diverse and forwarding thinking cities in Europe and is actively attracting the right mix of housing, business, productivity, innovation and investment.

Our city has the widest variety of projects from minor domestic works to the delivery of significant private and public funded housing developments, a wide range of industrial and commercial developments throughout the city as well as numerous entertainment and assembly venues that cater for the full range of uses and capacities for our social and night-time economies. We have a significant number of major high rise and complex developments within our city centre and beyond, often requiring fire engineered solutions, and we are extensively involved in licensing of safety at sports grounds, local festivals, major concerts and international events.

Join our expanding Building Standards team where we can offer you the opportunity to experience all of this and have a successful and rewarding career where the breadth, range and type of work is unparalleled within Scotland.

As part of Building Standards & Public Safety of Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability and reporting to a Team Manager, you will be responsible for providing professional support.  You will contribute to the successful delivery of Council and service targets, objectives and national Performance Framework criteria, whilst monitoring personal workload and maintaining appropriate records to achieve appropriate performance indicators and timescales. It is essential that you are a full Member of MRICS, MCIOB, MBENG or equivalent construction related professional institute.
