Recruitment Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Waste Treatment team, this role would suit someone with an interest in recycling and who enjoys working in a customer service environment. The role is an average of Working one weekend per month - 16hrs over the weekend.

The successful candidate shall work at Scottish Borders Council’s Recycling Centres providing customer service, directing and assisting members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of the materials they are depositing.

You may be asked to carry out other duties from time to time and training for specific equipment shall be provided. This role will usually be based at Hawick but will involve travelling to other sites one day per week. .

Essential

A good standard of education (numeracy & literacy). A current driving licence - Category B and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
