Full Job Description
Are you an ambitious Project Architect or Senior Architect looking for an exciting new challenge? A leading design practice based in Glasgow is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects across a wide range of sectors. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability, this is an excellent opportunity for professionals who are eager to contribute to a collaborative environment while advancing their careers in a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
As a Project Architect or Senior Architect, you will be responsible for managing projects at various stages, from concept through to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure that each project meets both aesthetic and functional requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in leading project teams, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of projects, offering design solutions that align with both client needs and sustainability goals.
In this role, you will be expected to provide strong leadership and direction to junior architects and assistants, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Your ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members will be key to the success of the projects you lead. Additionally, your technical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and quality of design and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
With a focus on professional development, this position offers a great opportunity for those looking to grow in a well-established practice. The firm is committed to supporting career progression, offering a clear path for advancement and opportunities to work across a diverse range of projects. They also encourage ongoing learning, with access to training programs and resources that enable you to expand your skills and knowledge.
The ideal candidate will be an RIBA-chartered architect with several years of post-qualification experience, having gained exposure to a variety of project types. Strong technical skills, an excellent understanding of building regulations, and experience with industry-standard software are essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in leading projects from inception to delivery is crucial, and an ability to effectively manage client relationships and expectations will set you apart.
In return, you will join a practice that values innovation, creativity, and sustainability, with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and employee well-being. The team works in a flexible, collaborative environment where ideas are encouraged and professional growth is supported. The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the chance to work on exciting projects in an inclusive and forward-thinking setting.
If you are looking for a new opportunity where you can make a real impact and progress in your architectural career, this is the perfect role for you.
