SPS Headquarters
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SPS Headquarters as we recruit for a Building Fabric Manager to join the Estates Team. The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver a strategic plan for Estates Building Fabric, ensuring building performance and compliance across the SPS estate. This will involve assessing the condition of all buildings throughout our complex multi-site estate, consisting of both modern and historic / listed buildings. The condition reports will identify defects or maintenance requirements and inform maintenance plans, capital projects and budgeting decisions. The position is full time and offers hybrid working.
If you have the following, we would like to hear from you:
- Educated to Degree level in a Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture or a related technical field
- MRICS (preferred) or industry equivalent experience of surveying building fabric and issuing condition reports for a large multi building portfolio.
- Proven experience of budget and financial management in the delivery of capital forecasts, project planning and work costing / appraisal.
- Experience of working in an autonomous environment, making technical decisions and recommendations within area of competence/authority which may impact beyond own area of work, using judgement to determine the level of consultation needed Detailed knowledge and experience of legislation relating to building fabric and estates management e.g. CDM, planning, building regulations etc.
