About the Role:
A leading general building contractor in central Scotland is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for relationship-building and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Build on existing relationships, with a focus on architectural and engineering practices, as well as Project Quantity Surveyors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure information is accurate, feasible, and aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and target new business opportunities from both prospective and existing clients.
- Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, aiming to secure new business.
- Provide regular, accurate, and timely reports on progress toward business development objectives.
- Proactively monitor market trends and activity, sharing insights with relevant departments to drive strategic decision-making.
- Handle objections and manage complaints to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within the construction or building services sector.
- Strong network of contacts, especially within architectural and engineering practices and with Project Quantity Surveyors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
- A proactive approach to market analysis and strategic business development.
