Full Job Description
HGV Mechanic, Full time 40 hours per week. Based in our vehicle maintence unit (VMU) at our depot in Blairlinn, Cumbernauld. Within this role you will recieve £20.70 per hour. The Shift Pattern Includes: Monday to Friday: 11:30am - 8:00pm Saturday to Sunday: 8:00am - 4:30pm Please note that within this role you will be required to work one out of four weekends. Working within a role at Farmfoods you benefit from: 30 days holiday per annum. Access to our subsidised on-site canteen. Free on-site parking. The role will involve:
- Maintaining their fleet of vehciles and trailers which consists of Mercedes, Renault and Scania tractor units along with a variety of multi-temperature trailers, curtain sliders and box trailers.
- Carrying out inspections, repairs and testing.
- Diagnosing faults. You will need the following qualifications and experience to be considered:
- Level 3 City & Guilds Maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles (or equivalent)
- Diagnostic equipment and fault tracing resulting in first time repair
- MOT preparation In addition if you have experience in any of the following please let them know in your application:
- LOLER experience and tail lift repair (desirable)
- Multi temperature trailers and fridge repairs (desirable)
- CE licence (desirable)
