Full Job Description

About The Role

Cumnock, East Ayrshire

32 hours per week

Various shift patterns

Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me

The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.

Let us introduce you to Maureen and Megan:

Maureen is a fun and active person she likes getting out and about as she has a lot of groups she takes part in around the local area. Maureen has a wicked sense of humour and would like her staff to have a good sense of humour too. Maureen has a dog which she takes great care of and is a huge part of her life. We support Maureen 7 days a week 9am-7pm. During support we assist with cooking, cleaning and supporting Maureen to her activities.

Megan is a very independent lady and has a good sense of humour. Megan volunteers in a charity shop and enjoys going to tribute nights when they are on especially Elvis! Megan is looking to start more activities which are suitable to her so would like staff to come with new ideas. We support Megan 7 days a week and shifts can range from 10am-3pm, 9am-11am and split days when she attends her volunteering as she does this independently. We support Megan with Personal care, meal prep and cleaning.

That is why Maureen and Megan needs you! Will you bring your best so that Maureen and Megan can live their best lives?

About You

If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support Maureen and Megan to get the most out of life; then please apply now!
