Full Job Description
Are you a qualified accountant looking for a hands-on Finance Manager role within a dynamic SME environment? Our client, a well-established and growing business based on the outskirts of Glasgow, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a small finance function and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
The Role:
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the business, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in an SME setting, where they can take ownership of financial processes and contribute to business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the finance function, ensuring timely and accurate month-end reporting.
- Prepare management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and internal controls.
- Manage and develop the finance team, supporting their growth and performance.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Support strategic decision-making by providing key financial insights.
About You:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in an SME finance function.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously.
