| Salary £27,269 - £31,067 Per Annum | Permanent, Full Time 37 Hours Per Week | Lancashire | International Sponsorship - this role is not open to international sponsorship Information, Advice & Support Liaison Officer Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated SEND Information, Advice and Support Liaison Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes in education and beyond. As a SEND IAS Liaison Officer you would signpost users to other services and manage a caseload, mainly autonomously, but with support from SENDIASS Officers for more complex issues. Working as part of a team, you would provide information, advice and support in a variety of ways including via the SEND IASS Helpline, website, via email and virtually using hybrid technology in addition to face-to-face meetings. Working with a multitude of stakeholders including professional organisations, parents, children and young people, you would give advice and facilitate training in order to increase awareness of options, rights, SEND processes and available support. Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Liaison Officers are frontline staff delivering services to parents/carers, children and young people. Working closely with IAS Officers they provide information and advice, IAS Liaison Officers empower children, young people, parents and carers enabling them to make informed decisions about their experience of the SEND system and in relation to their future aspirations. Utilising their excellent communication skills they build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders; empowering and informing individuals, diffusing conflict situations.,
- Child-Centric Approach: Place children and young people at the heart of all practices, collaborating with families, education providers, and stakeholders.
- Support and Guidance: Provide technical support and general guidance to families and professionals regarding special educational needs.
- Administrative Excellence: Provide efficient and effective administrative support which enables the Inclusion Service to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Effective Communication: Act as a frontline contact for service users, offering information and advice while maintaining accurate electronic records., Please ensure you have uploaded and attached your supporting statement to evidence how you meet the criteria for the role.
