Full Job Description
Join our client as their new General Manager. They are seeking a dedicated individual to work 18.5 hours per week, job sharing with their existing Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to their vibrant community hub, ensuring its smooth operation and ongoing success.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, overseeing the use of their facility, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your role will include locking up after one-off hires, performing essential handyman tasks, ensuring post-event cleaning, and managing safety protocols, including regular fire drills. They also encourage you to promote their centre through social media and their website, helping them increase engagement and participation in their programmes.
Ideal candidates will possess the following attributes:
- Proven experience in facility management or similar roles
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and handyman tasks
- Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations
- Passion for community engagement and service
- Basic IT skills for social media and website promotion

Key responsibilities of the role:
