Full Job Description

Have you lived experience of your own or a loved one’s alcohol and/or drug use?Are you qualified to SVQ Level 3 in Social Services & Health Care or equivalent?Do you have some experience of supporting individuals in recovery or those affected by a loved one’s alcohol and/or drug use?Are you able to build positive relationships using a compassionate, non-judgemental, person-centred approach with the ability to inspire & motivate others?Can you work occasionally in the evening / weekends?Do you have IT skills and a full UK driving licence & access to a car?If YES, then this might be the tole for you!We are looking for a Peer Recovery Worker to provide intensive, flexible support and assertive outreach for individuals who are experiencing difficulties in relation to their alcohol and/or drug use and who may have complex vulnerabilities or be at risk of an alcohol or drug related death.This post funded by South Ayrshire ADP is based within the multi-disciplinary C4C team working alongside staff from We Are With You & NHS START.The successful applicant will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update., None specified
