Our Quality and Involvement Team is unique - a peer-led group where people with lived experience of learning disabilities and/or autism assess and improve the support others receive.
We're looking for someone passionate, empathetic, and organised to join us as a Quality and Involvement Supporter. This is more than a job - it's an opportunity to create real, positive change.
What You'll Be Doing: Quality and Involvement Supporter (Care) - Edinburgh/ Midlothian
As a Quality and Involvement Supporter, you'll partner with our Experts by Experience - individuals who use their lived experience to ensure care is truly person-centred. Your role is to support them in delivering quality checks, engaging with individuals receiving care, and gathering meaningful feedback.
You'll:
- Work side-by-side with Experts by Experience during care observations and assessments
- Support group events and workshops to capture the views of those supported
- Build relationships with individuals across services and empower their voices to be heard
- Help document and share findings that drive improvement
- Work flexibly, including virtual and in-person engagements
What We're Looking For: Quality and Involvement Supporter (Care) - Edinburgh/ Midlothian
- A solid understanding of what good, person-centred care looks like
- A natural advocate for dignity, independence, and inclusion
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities/autism (professionally or personally)
- Knowledge of safeguarding, quality standards, and community inclusion
- Strong communication skills - with people of all backgrounds and needs
- Organised, tech-savvy, and comfortable managing your schedule
Ideal Experience & Qualifications:
- NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- The Care Certificate, or equivalent, lived/family experience
- Experience in a care or support setting is a plus
