Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join Business Technology Solutions, working in Case Management Solutions. We use a hybrid working model, from the office and at home. You will manage the Council's Geographic Information System (ArcGIS) and associated tools such as FME. You will work alongside other members of the team to support solutions in Uniform, Assyst and Verint EM Pro. You will be responsible for designing, building and supporting solutions deployed on the platforms. You will test and document solutions using agreed standards and tools. You will liaise with customers in the Council to specify requirements and will offer your professional advice to them to provide effective business solutions. You will prioritise and diagnose support calls according to agreed procedures. You will ensure that incidents are investigated and resolved. You will facilitate recovery following resolution of incidents. You will ensure that resolved incidents are documented and closed according to agreed procedures. You will have an element of staff supervision and work allocation. You will work with specialist consultants/suppliers where required. You will be responsible for the implementation of change management plans for complex requests. A link to the BTS Systems Officer role profile is included below. The Person If you meet the essential qualification criteria outlined below, we'd like to hear from you: Educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent, preferably in computing or a related subject or equivalent experience. Experience working with Geographic Information Systems, particularly ArcGIS. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
