Are you an Estimator or Graduate Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing business?

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing competitive quotes, and assisting clients in choosing the best roofing and cladding solutions for their needs. Based in Glasgow, this business has established a reputation for delivering quality work throughout Scotland, North England and beyond, working alongside architects, main contractors, local builders and private clients for the last 30 years.

Although no 2 days will be the same, duties of the Estimator role will include:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and site requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits if necessary to assess project scope and gather necessary information.
• Prepare detailed and competitive quotations for zinc, copper, aluminium, and single-ply roofing systems.
• Collaborate with the sales team to present proposals and close deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, and clients.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accurate and profitable estimates.
• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth project handover.

Requirements of the role:

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
