Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ayrshire Urgent Care Service (AUCS) for an Operational Facilitator at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

You will be the first point of contact for AUCS ensuring calls are directed to the appropriate pathway, manage an effective and timely appointment service allocating appointments and home visits.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. You should be an enthusiastic and motivated individual for this role.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Essential

SVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent proven experience
ECDL qualification or experience in Microsoft Office; i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
Experience in working with the public.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to shift coverage.
The post holder should have the ability to work well under pressure and follow clear instructions.
Good Keyboard skills demonstrating speed and accuracy.
The ability to remain calm during a challenging situation is vital.

Desirable

Experience of working within a primary care or out of hours setting.
Working knowledge of Adastra software and other NHS based applications.
Knowledge of medical terminology.

Hours:

Hours as and when required over a 24 hour period, 7 days per week including public holidays.

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
