Full Job Description
We have been engaged by one of Scotland’s largest consultancy firms to source a senior quantity surveyor to join their practice in Glasgow on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join a business with an impressive portfolio of work that offers true variety in sectors. You’ll be joining a practice with a demonstrable pedigree in delivering quality work across Scotland with the benefit of repeat business which adds to an already strong order book for the years ahead.
This is a business with a view on the future. They’ve got a fantastic training programme which nurtures new entries to the field as well as continually offering CPD to their experienced staff. As a senior quantity surveyor, you’ll have the opportunity to take a leading role in your own projects whilst also mentoring junior staff. One of the key benefits to this position is the opportunity in the future, with the business proactively looking for suitable team members to join their expanding Partners.
To give an insight, some of the services this client offer which you’ll have the opportunity be in involved in include; Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Employers Agent, Project Management, CDM services, specialist M&E measurement, billing and costing, procurement and dispute resolution. These services, coupled with the breadth of their sector portfolio, mean you will truly get exposure to all markets.
The client are looking to bring on a candidate with a background in private practice as well as a strong understanding of both Pre and Post Contract work. You’ll be able to manage and deliver projects to a high standard within the agreed deadlines and work with the wider team to ensure the Practice continues to enjoy a sterling reputation.
