SD Manufacturing are looking for their next apprentice to join their growing team. SD Manufacturing produce the full range of custom manufactured shopfitting and joinery products, collaborating closely with our clients to provide the highest quality solutions. You will specifically work within the Retail Design Consultants part of the business who specialise in pharmacy shopfitting with an unparalleled track record of pharmacy design and fit-out for independent community pharmacies.
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Digital Support Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in administration while gaining hands-on experience with digital tools and platforms. You’ll work alongside experienced technical construction professionals, supporting daily operations and helping to improve the efficiency of our digital workflows.
Responsibilities:
- First responder to clients via email, phone, chat box and website. Effectively triaging customer enquiries about existing jobs and projects, supporting with creation of new jobs and any other requests that come in.
- Become a superuser on Xero, you will be responsible for inputting and processing purchase orders, preparing reports and updating ongoing projects.
- Create presentation and documentation using Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
- Collaborate with various departments and managers within the business and assist with their ongoing projects, using Xero to support with this.
- Assist in maintaining the organisation’s online presence in conjunction with our Marketing consultant, such as updating website content or social media.
- Enter and update data on Microsoft Excel to monitor ongoing jobs to be shared across teams using Google Workspace and Sharepoint.
- Learn to use and support digital collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Google Workspace).
- Contribute to improving digital processes and identifying areas for greater efficiency.
- Participate in training and development as part of your apprenticeship programme.
Desirable skills:
- Strong interest in digital tools and administrative processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional attitude and keen attention to detail.
- Nat 5s (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and ICT or Business Studies are desirable.
- Previous experience with digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) through school or personal use.
Working hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Salary: £18,980 per annum.
