Casual Senior Refuse & Recycling Operative
Various Locations across the region (Stranraer, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Lockerbie)
£14.26 per hour

Our recycling and refuse team work within the hearts of our Communities across Dumfries and Galloway.

We are looking for potential candidates within our communities to work with us on an “as and when required” basis to help us deliver this essential service.

We deliver a wide variety of frontline services and require Senior Refuse & Recycling Operatives at our depot in Stranraer, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Lockerbie.

Duties will include:-

• Driving of refuse, recyclate, white goods vehicles.
• Ensuring collection of refuse & recycling routes on a daily basis in a safe and efficient manner and adhering to Health & Safety and Safe Working Procedures.
• Other tasks relating to Waste Collection Services functions

You will be expected to carry out various duties as instructed by the Waste Supervisor and have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. You will be fully trained, and you will be required to work as part of a team.

This post is subject to candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.

You will be educated to Standard Grade Level and you must have an HGV License.
