Full Job Description
MINIBUS DRIVER | PART TIME, TERM TIME ONLY
£13 Per Hour
Core hours will be 8am to 9:30am and 3:30pm to 6pm, 5 days a week during term time. Other ad-hoc journeys will usually be during the school day
Closing Date - 25th April 2025
Job Purpose
To drive the school minibus for the morning and evening Haymarket shuttle service, and other ad-hoc journeys as required. The role holder will also be responsible for routine inspections of the minibus fleet.

Head of Facilities
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the school minibus in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of students, other road users and members of the public;
• Ensure the Haymarket shuttle service runs to time as far as possible to the set route and stops, and maintain records of students using the service;
• Be responsible for the safety and welfare of students during each journey;
• Report any behaviour or welfare concerns to relevant teaching staff colleagues;
• Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance and ensure the bus is clean and tidy before and after each journey;
• Refuel the minibuses as required;
• Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately;
• Be a good ambassador for the school, maintaining a professional conduct at all times;
• Declare any driving sanctions or convictions that may affect insurance or operation of the bus;
• Adhere to school policies on safeguarding and child protection at all times and attend training as required;
• Undergo an annual check of your driving licence
