Do you have what it takes to help others achieve their career goals?
Ayrshire College are currently looking to recruit a VQ Assessor – Motor Vehicle, to join our established Work Based Assessment Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join an organisation which makes a valuable economic and social contribution to Ayrshire and its employers. As a VQ Assessor you will support the delivery of work based and vocational qualifications through assessing, verifying, and monitoring Scottish and National Vocational Qualification (S/NVQ) students. So if you think you can use your extensive knowledge and experience of the motor vehicle sector to inspire and support others to achieve their qualifications and career goals, then this could be the role for you!
As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing effective partnerships with external employers and commercial organisations, and so it is vital that you are a confident and effective communicator. The successful candidate will provide mentoring support and guidance to inspire our learners and so you must be educated to HNC/SVQ level 3/SCQF level 7 or equivalent within a relevant subject area and have comprehensive experience of the motor vehicle sector. Experience of assessing, verifying vocational and work-based qualifications is preferred although training can be given.
Whether you are an experienced assessor, or industry practitioner seeking a new and rewarding career path, the College would love to hear from you!
For further information on the candidate we are looking for, please refer to the Person Specification.
Informal enquiries to Marko Prorocic, Work Based Assessment Team Leader - STEM, via email.
The closing date for applications to this vacancy is 11:59pm on 27 April 2025.
