You will have a Professional Qualification in Community Learning and Development, (BA/PG Dip).Responsibilities
You will lead the development and delivery of community learning opportunities with the focus on adult literacies and adult learning to improve life chances, through learning, personal development and active citizenship and developing stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities. Working in partnership with relevant agencies and communities to deliver on strategic objectives, aimed at reducing inequality and addressing need.The Individual
You will have experience of delivering literacy and numeracy learning, managing and leading a team, partnership working. You will have an understanding and implementation of local and national policies related to Community Learning and Development and adult learning. You will have experience of assessing learners/community needs and developing learning in response, evidence of leading a team and implementing self-evaluation and improvement planning are essential. You will have knowledge and sound understanding of the principles underpinning community based learning provision and evidence of promoting the positive impact of Community Learning and Development. You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.Copy the direct link to this job
