Grade: CS0-5
Salary: £33,594.00 - £50,589.00 per annum
Hours: 35 Contract
Duration: Temporary until 7 May 2026 or earlier return of the post holder

Role Purpose
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction
• play a part in developing school curriculum in PE and as appropriate to the School Improvement Plan and other identified areas
• assess, record and report on the work of pupils
• provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education
• promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils
• work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals
• undertake appropriate and agreed continuing professional development
• participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual pupil review
• contribute to community and corporate aspects of school life
Essential
• Qualified Teacher of Physical Education
• Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (or an assurance that full registration will be forthcoming)
