Falkirk Instrumental Music Service is seeking to recruit a permanent Instrumental Music Instructor for Woodwind (0.6FTE). Our service provides high quality tuition to children and young people across our primary and secondary schools, supporting both BGE and Senior Phase.
We are looking for a committed and high quality Instrumental Instructor who can provide progressive, effective and active lessons to full engage pupils in their learning. The majority of lessons are taught in small groups. The post holder will work within the Denny, Grangemouth & Larbert clusters and support either Falkirk Schools Senior Orchestra or Falkirk Schools Junior Wind Band as part of our regional groups.
Preferably we are looking for candidates with availability to work either Tuesday – Thursday, however this is negotiable.
Successful applicants will hold an appropriate music degree.
You will work 14 hours per week.
Applicants who progress to the next stage of the recruitment process will be invited to participate in a classroom observation and attend a formal interview.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
