Full Job Description
To provide a Care at Home/Falls Response Service to vulnerable people in the community.
The post holder will work as a Mobile Emergency Carer within the Home Care Associated Services Team, which is part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.
The role will include responding to Community Alarm calls, using specialised lifting equipment, Moving and handling of equipment and people such as pushing and pulling of equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs.
Assisting fallen non injured clients in line with Fife Falls guideline. Providing support and personal care for service users and their carers in accordance with an assessed need using professional, sensitive, flexible methods and skills, all in accordance with National Care Standards and assisting vulnerable service users within their own homes, with care at home tasks working with Health and Social Care Partnership colleagues and colleagues within partnership agencies.
You are required to have a current driving licence (you will drive Council vehicles).
SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards.
Previous Care at Home experience.
Awareness of the National Care Standards.
You will be required to register with Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of starting employment.
Mobile Emergency Carer should have a positive, caring attitude, have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
You should be able to undertake physical tasks.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme., Disability Confident
