Full Job Description

As a Clinical Trainer, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:

  • Planning, organising and delivery of operational Clinical training courses that will ensure the safe and effective use of equipment and skills to volunteers and staff
  • Developing training interventions and associated materials to ensure content is matched to best practice
  • This role will involve extensive travel, providing training at lifeboat and lifeguard stations across the Scottish region, as well as travelling around the UK and ROI. An RNLI vehicle will be provided

You'll be a health care professional, ideally with a high level of clinical experience and confidence in delivering Casualty Care in a marine/austere environment. To be considered as the Clinical Trainer you will need:
  • Previous instructor/training responsibility
  • Award in Education and Training or equivalent
  • HCPC/NMC Registered professional.
  • Prehospital Clinical experience
  • An understanding of the volunteer ethos
  • Experience of course design/planning
  • Willingness to work away from home, including evenings and weekends
  • Based within the Scottish region
  • Other organisations may call this role Clinical Tutor. So, as a Clinical trainer you might have the ability to organise not only the training and assessment of volunteer lifeboat crew members and lifeguards, but the logistics of the nature of the job. Flexibility and the ability to think on your feet are key attributes. If you want to see how casualty care supports our organisation's aim to reduce drowning, this could be the role for you. Please apply via the button shown. This post requires a valid driving licence.

Our purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, our crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning. We're looking for a Clinical Trainer to join our Clinical Training Team. The Learning and Organisational Development Department supports the RNLI through ensuring our lifeboat crews and lifeguards are ready to help save lives, we train our crews and lifeguards to high levels of medical care which relies on exceptional training being delivered.
