Could you be our next Graduate within our Democratic Services team?

You will gain experience in a range of areas of work and will be required to:

  • Provide support and guidance to the Council's Scrutiny committees and play a key role in developing the Council’s scrutiny function more generally.
  • You will provide advice and guidance to officers and to elected members on procedure and policy as well on effective scrutiny.
  • Provide support to other decision-making bodies within the Council’s decision making structure
  • You will lead on scrutiny panel and policy development panel reviews and will help develop and have oversight of the Council's scrutiny plan.
  • Livestream meetings.

You will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to making a positive impact in your work.

You will have an HND or above in a Political Science, Law including a research component or a related discipline or other recognised relevant subject.
