If you have a passion for events and a drive for excellence and want to be part of creating something truly special, then Glasgow 2026 wants you.
The Role:

You will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and delivery of all centrally delivered games service functions as well as overseeing all Glasgow 2026 workforce operations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Glasgow 2026 services, including accommodation, transportation, logistics, accreditation, and volunteering. The Director will collaborate with senior leadership, Commonwealth Sport, Event Delivery Partners, games-wide suppliers and key stakeholders to deliver a world-class experience for all participants, workforce, and spectators.
A key responsibility for this role will lead workforce planning and operations for the OC and support the integration and assurance of Event Delivery Partner workforce plans, develop the volunteering strategy and programme, and implement cross-organisational workforce principles and training packages. You will also be the primary contract manager for a series of Games critical central services suppliers, providing assurance and overseeing change control.
This is an opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event, working with passionate professionals and visionary leaders who are committed to showcasing Scotland on the international stage as well as delivering excellence for athletes and local communities.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a Director of Games Services who has proven experience in the planning and delivery of central services or leading a key delivery function for a multi-venue major global sporting event. You should also have a strong understanding of large-scale workforce planning and deployment.
Key attributes include being an excellent communicator, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and being a strong leader and team player.
